We are still floating in yesterdays energy of the Fall Equinox. Can you feel something in the air? We are all effected by the larger cycles, the sun and the moon, and the Equinoxes and Solstices. Being in a Mercury Retrograde on top of it all, brings a strong stream of energies into our lives and effects us in a variety of ways. I am not an Astrologer, and highly suggest you find one to work with if possible. But I believe understanding how the larger cycles effect us, only brings us closer to ourselves.
Balancing the light and the dark within is a long journey, and most often not the easiest to accomplish. Looking inside to understand ourselves and why we do the things we do, can seem at times a daunting task. So we find things to distract ourselves with. We get involved with other peoples lives and problems, create a variety of dramas and stress related conveniences to keep our prying eyes from seeing the truth within.
What makes you tick? If you can answer that question in complete honesty, you are indeed a very courageous person. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to seek answers to your own riddles. It is much easier to seek the outward path where you can easily become immersed into a dream-like world which offers endless distractions, and allow others to tell you who you are and what your made of. All trails lead home however, its just a matter of how long you prefer to take getting there. No judgment in which choice you make, all of it is nothing more then lessons learned for self-growth and enlightenment.
Someone recently asked me what I meant by balancing light and dark, they expressed concern in giving the dark any acknowledgment at all. We had a wonderful conversation about it, and I've decided to share it with all of you. The dark is nothing more than our own shadow. Every time we are faced with what seems like negativity, and darkness, we have to remember that we are really seeing the shadow, and all things have a shadow. Understanding our own shadow helps us to understand the collective shadow. If you avoid looking into your own shadow, then you most likely avoid or fear, the collective. The two are the same really. Our fears, our insecurities, our self-hate, unresolved emotions, past wounds, our abusive tendencies and dysfunctional natures, are our less appealing sides, and most often not seen by the majority of those in our lives.
The Fall equinox represents the balance of the shadow and the light. A time when both are at rest, and equal, and neither is vying desperately for our attention. It is a time of peace between two worlds of perception that dictate how we see the world around us, and also how we see ourselves. When we come from a perspective of light it feels very different than when we come from a perspective of shadow. Each offer a chance to heal aspects within ourselves that need healing. It is a multi-dimensional way of living and understanding ourselves at deeper levels. What is the point you may ask?
The point is no matter who we are, or where we come from, no matter what our religious beliefs, our class, or income level, our race or nationality... we are all the same inside. Our outer differences are an imprint of our unique individual spirit, and yet inside we are the same. Why is that simple truth so hard for us to learn and except collectively? Because on some level within we believe in separation. We believe we are separate from others, and so therefore we only have to care for ourselves. That reality is changing. Our world is forcing this change for many reasons. But ultimately nothing happens on the outside that isn't happening on the inside, and inside we are demanding change because we know our bodies, spirits, minds and feelings cant continue to go the way they are going. The amount of soul sickness in the world is astonishing. So we are consciously and unconsciously asking for change. We are evolving, and like caterpillars emerging from our cocoons we are becoming a transformational being ready to fly.
Is your life in harmony? Are you following your bliss? or do you feel stuck and tired, bored, restless? try looking inside for guidance and answers. No one can do it for you. There is no more time to not follow your heart. You have a life here, and you do not know how long you will be here. So why not do what you love? Why not really love who you love? Why not take a risk and do something out of YOUR ordinary?
Movement in our lives is vital for our health and well-being. Not only physical movement in the form of exercise, but movement in our emotions, our spiritual and mental lives as well. If you are unhappy in your life, you have no one to blame but yourself.
Balancing of our light and dark is essential to understanding ourselves at deeper levels. With all the changes going on in the world today, it is crucial we learn how to move in our lives, with those we love, and with what our purpose is here. We all have a purpose. It is just a matter of aligning with our true authentic self in order to see just what that purpose is.
Enjoy the next few days as we bask in the energies of the Fall Equinox. Use the energies for the betterment of you, and therefore the betterment of our World.

Hillary

Saying No and Letting Go
Have you stuck up for yourself lately? How do you do it? With poise and grace? or does anger simmer under the surface and stew until you explode with hidden resentments and attachments? What is your initial reaction when someone crosses your boundaries?
Speaking up when someone treats us badly, or when we fail to voice our opinion when it counts can be a form of leaking energy. We are like a cocoon of energy and when we leak energy it is like the cocoon has a puncture hole in it, and air leaks out. We may know we are deflating but cant quite find the puncture hole. That is how it is when we slowly leak our personal power away on situations, or people in our lives that drain us. When we find the leak, we have to repair it somehow, so it is with leaking energy. Confrontation is very hard for most people. How do we confront those we care about or have to live or work with, without destroying the relationship?
Take a look at the situation carefully before you speak up. Discern what perspective you will come from, that of a victim? or that of a grounded empowered person? Stick to the facts only, do not let yourself puncture the hole wider so more 'air' leaks out! Letting ourselves fall apart emotionally is like ripping the hole open and is very damaging to the cocoon.
So feel the emotions first privately, know why your upset, and own what belongs to you, and then discern what exactly it is about the other person that has triggered your response in the first place. What does this situation or person mirror to you? What is it about them that reflects something about yourself back? Go within first.
Emotions are never to be ignored, and it is crucial they are understood by the one feeling them. The key is to then know how to express them in a way that leaves you feeling empowered because you spoke from your truth. Speaking from your truth is a hard thing to do at first, but the more you get used to doing it, the easier it becomes. Then your boundaries begin to shape up and it is easier to keep them on a daily basis. Strengthening your cocoon of energy around you, so punctures come less easily. You become more protected from psychic attacks, and less likely to drain it away on reckless emotional reactions that can get very messy and leave a trail of destruction in your wake.
As we learn to respect our own emotions, and boundaries, we then begin to learn to respect others, and communication becomes less destructive and more cooperative, allowing greater connection, understanding and healing.
We are then less likely to hold on to simmering anger and resentments that can energetically charge everything we do, our reactions, and allows for us to be triggered more easily. This is not about rolling over and letting go what we know in our intuitions as something we need to speak up on and deal with. In fact, rolling over will just create more resentment, and energetically it builds pressure in our cocoons, and when we get punctured the air/energy will be explosive vs. a slow or gradual leak.
Taking our personal power back from situations that harm our cocoons is one of the most self-loving and self-empowering acts we can do. As we care for our physical bodies, so too should we care for our energy bodies. This holistic multi-dimensional way of looking at ourselves creates greater harmony and peace within ourselves and our surroundings. Knowing when to say no, protects our personal power, and we are then able to let go with no energetic threads keeping us attached to the situation or person triggering the leak in the first place. Look at the situation and/or person as a gift from the Universe that allowed you t he opportunity to strengthen and grow your energy body.
Our energy bodies are out of shape. Realizing we have one, is the first step to rebuilding it.
Today: Imagine yourself standing in a puddle of white light. As you take deep breaths imagine the white light moving up over your body all the way to the top of your heads. I often tell my Reiki students to do this prior to beginning a session with a client to help clear and protect themselves during healing sessions. Once the white light reaches the top of your head, take a deep breath and breathe in the white light, illuminating every cell in your body. Feel this white light around you, feel your cocoon of white light, this is your own personal and sacred space. Now imagine a cord of white light headed straight out of your head towards the sky. Feel energy flowing down into your cocoon filling it with rejuvenated energy. Take what you need, and feel gratitude for yourself. Take this feeling with you throughout the day, and if you feel drained or fatigued close your eyes and do this exercise again to recharge!

Multi-dimensional Healing
I was recently interviewed on Multidimensional Living with Host Esateys on the World Puja Network. We talked about what it means to live a multi-dimensional life. I woke up this morning thinking about our conversation the other day, and as I enjoyed my morning coffee, I found myself musing over the show.
One of the things we discussed is why it is so important to seek healing now, in today's changing world. With the economy on everyones mind, how sessions are the first thing to go because they are seen as 'extras'. Esateys asked me what I thought about that.
The world is in a death dance with the old paradigm. We are birthing a new one, a new paradigm. But it is not just happening 'out there' in the world around us. It starts inside us. We each are birthing a new paradigm within us. Right now all of our karmic stuff is coming up, everything will be 'in our face' so to speak. Just like countries are facing their Karma, everything that happens collectively as a planet, happens within us. There is no difference. So as we watch the world go through its cycles, and changes, know without a doubt these changes are happening within YOU!
As we seek change, as we demand change, as we look around our world and see how much abuse we have done to each other, to our planet, know that it is a mirror of what has been done within. The good news is that we are acknowledging it. Because nothing can be healed that isn't acknowledged for what it is. Many people look at things going on in the world as negative, and choose not to look at it. However, what we do not acknowledge rules our lives, and runs our planet. The individual shadow is the same as the collective, and we contribute to it in many ways.
So healing the relationship we have with ourselves, is the most important act we can do as conscious beings in order to change our lives, our communities, our countries, and our planet!
Take a look at your life. Where do you struggle the most?
What we do in the world, is a reflection of what we believe and feel inside us. If we judge others, its a reflection of us judging ourselves, if we criticize others, it is a reflection of our own criticizing. If we see abuse in the world, and we feel victimized, then it is a reflection of our own self-inflicted abuse and victimization within.
How we see the world, is how we see ourselves. Many people are starting to wake up and see what has been going on around them. It is validation of us waking up to ourselves to see how we have allowed ourselves to be treated by ourselves. This is good! This is why healing is so important. Healing on a personal level, dealing with our emotional, spiritual, mental and physical health is the top priority to healing our world and the abuses we as a collective have helped cause. We have all contributed to our world situation today. Taking responsibility for our actions, thoughts, how we live day to day, how we treat others, comes down to how much respect we have for ourselves!
Have respect for yourself! Respect your thoughts, what you give energy too. Have respect for your body, and what you consume and how you care for it. Have respect for your boundaries, and what you will allow in your life, and how you allow others to treat you IS a reflection of how much respect you have for yourself. Respect your gifts and what you love to do by allowing them room in your life. Link up to a higher spiritual connection so you don't need to take energy from others in the form of manipulation, or control. Have respect for your inner child and allow play into your life, which then allows you to never take yourself so seriously that you forget how to have fun! All of these things are just the tip of the ice burg. If your relationships suffer from lack of connection and intimacy, then look at how you treat yourself. Do you allow yourself to be intimate with you? Do you create space in your life where spending time alone is honored and respected? Do you tells other no when you need too?
Its time to get real with yourself, and take a good hard look at your life, and become introspective. If you have wounds to heal from in your past, they need to be dealt with now. There is no more room in this changing world for wounded people to be running around rampant. Running our systems, making decisions based on wounded perspectives. If we really want change in this world, we have to start with what needs changing inside us.
As we except ourselves as multi-dimensional beings we open to the reality of how we are effected by energy around us. Understanding energy is the most basic of tools to living a multi-dimensional life. It shows us our true connection to self, others, our planet, and even to the Universe. It is not a skill you learn in school, or can be certified in, it doesn't hold degrees. It isn't something you can pay for. You can learn it, but the kind of learning it takes to understand it is much different than our traditional way of learning.
The new paradigm is being formed within us, and as we wake up, so to will our families, our communities, our countries, our systems, our planet. When we reach that point of understanding, and we heal, then we become like mid-wives for others, so we can then help them heal and cross-over to the new paradigm. We are in this together guys! No one is on a pedestal anymore. This isn't about finding a guru ...its about finding someone who can help us birth ourselves into a new way of being. The teacher can not do it for you, they can only show you a path perhaps, but ultimately you will have to walk it yourself.
So where do you start? Take a look at your life today! What needs more attention?
*How are your finances? Do you pay your bills on time? Are you organized? if not, start getting organized today.
*How is your health? How do you take care of yourself physically? How do you respect you body? Do you put yourself first? If not, do something today that is all about you! Find a holistic option to your health issues, read up on them. Make healthier choices.
*How are your relationships? Which ones need healing? Ask yourself how that strained relationship is a mirror for how you treat yourself? Today set a boundary. Begin to respect yourself.
*What is the state of your home? Is your space clean and organized? if not, do something today to make it so. Is your space beautiful? How do you represent beauty in your home? Today host a dinner party for yourself, and your family, if your married and have children. Light candles, use cloth napkins, treat it as if the President is coming to your home for dinner.
*How are your thoughts? Your most secret insecurities, and negative beliefs about yourself and your life effect everything around you. Even if you never voice them. Today write in a journal about what has hurt you or made you angry in the past, keep writing until you feel the emotion attached to it. Then burn the paper. Release it.
*Random acts of kindness. We usually help others when we expect some kind of acknowledgment for doing so. Today do one thing for someone randomly. Spread kindness today to yourself and others.
Today can be different. Everyday is a chance to make different choices. If you want to change the world, then you have to change within.
